Jo-Ann A. Brant is professor emerita of New Testament at Goshen College, Goshen, Indiana. She received her B.A. from the University of Alberta, and her M.A. and Ph.D. from McMaster University. Her graduate work was in Christianity and Judaism in the Greco-Roman Era with a focus upon Second Temple law with a minor in Asian Religious Traditions. She is an active member of the Society of Biblical Literature, serving as a program chair to the Johannine Literature Section, and on the editorial board of the ''Journal of Biblical Literature''. She also serves on the editorial council for the Believers Church Bible Commentary series (Herald Press). Her published work includes ''Dialogue and Drama: Elements of Greek Tragedy in the Fourth Gospel'' (Hendrickson, 2004) and ''John'' (Paideia Commentaries on the New Testament, Baker Academic, 2011).
