Historia

La Iglesia Beachy Amish Mennonite Church emergió en Costa Rica en 1968. La iglesia estableció colonias donde los miembros vivían juntos, similar a lo que hacían los Old Colony Mennonites en México y Sudamérica. Los Beachy Amish tienen 11 congregaciones en Costa Rica con alrededor de 275 miembros. Este grupo tiene relaciones con congregaciones en Belice, Canadá, El Salvador, Nicaragua, y los Estados Unidos.[1]


The Beachy Amish Mennonite Church emerged in Costa Rica in 1968. The church began by establishing colonies where members lived close together, similar to the colony pattern of the Old Colony Mennonites in South America and Mexico. The Beachy Amish have 11 congregations in Costa Rica with about 275 members. This group has related congregations in Belize, Canada, El Salvador, Nicaragua, and the United States.[2]
