Loren L. Johns

Loren L. Johns is a retired New Testament scholar who taught at Bluffton College (Bluffton, OH) and at Anabaptist Mennonite Biblical Seminary (AMBS, Elkhart, IN) where he also served as academic dean. He currently serves as New Testament editor of the Believers Church Bible Commentary series (Herald Press) and as Associate Editor of the Princeton Dead Sea Scrolls project. He is a graduate of Goshen College (Goshen, IN) and AMBS, and earned his Ph.D. in New Testament from Princeton Theological Seminary (Princeton, NJ). Previously he served as a pastor and a theological book editor (for Herald Press). His publications include The Lamb Christology of the Apocalypse of John: An Investigation into Its Origins and Rhetorical Force (Mohr Siebeck, 2003) as well as many essays and articles. He has also edited and coedited several collections of essays.
