Radical Journey participants radically reorganize

From Anabaptistwiki

LA MESA, Colombia (Mennonite Mission Network) – For five Radical Journey participants in La Mesa, Cundinamarca, Colombia, the last few months have been filled with books. Since April, the Radical Journey team has been reorganizing the library at Colegio Americano Menno, a Mennonite school where they regularly volunteer. Prior to this project, it was difficult to find specific books in this library that serves the school’s 500 students.

The five women and a student worker sorted books into groups by topic, removed outdated or damaged books, entered the books into a searchable, Microsoft Excel document, and categorized the books with colored stickers.

The team hopes to finish labeling and shelving the books by the time they return to the U.S. in June, so that students at Colegio Americano Menno can enjoy the library during the rest of the school year.

Members of the Radical Journey team are Amy Bradshaw of Faith Mennonite Church in Newton, Kan., Karin Esh of Iglesia Cristiana Carismatica Maranata in Lancaster, Pa., Stephanie Hollenberg from College Mennonite Church in Goshen, Ind., Melina Hunsberger of Kaufman Mennonite Church in Davidsville, Pa. and Rachel Voran of First Mennonite Church in Newton.
